A Fashion Statement with a Conscience. From Soldier to Soldier, Sterling Silver Edition is a fund raising and awareness campaign based on the sales of a designer version of the survival bracelets worn by many US and allied servicemen and women in Iraq and Afghanistan. From the sales of each Silver Edition bracelet, $20 goes to Homes For Our Troops, which provides adaptive homes for severely injured veterans and their families.

As of November 2012, more than $700,000 has been raised for Homes For Our Troops from the sales of the bracelets by more than 350 participating retailers across the USA.

The bracelets in the field are braided with parachute cord. They are known as survival bracelets, because they can be unraveled and the paracord can be used for many purposes in a pinch. They are also exchanged among the servicemen and women as friendship bracelets. Often, a uniform button is sewn on and used as the clasp.

Symbolism The button clasp symbolizes the uniform. The clasped bracelet symbolizes the bond among the soldiers that can never be broken. To some, each knot in the bracelet symbolizes a fallen hero.

Designer Version The designer version has a sterling silver clasp shaped like a uniform button and is extremely tightly braided. Sterling silver and gold plated sterling silver heart clasps, some with a small diamond or pave’ set Swarovsky crystals are also available. 14k gold clasps are available on request.

The bracelets are hand-crafted in the USA.
